Calling all artists!Hello everyone! I'd like to ask everyone here to take about 1-2 minutes of their time to fill in this questionnaire. I need as many responses as possible, if you please, so please share it on your tumblr or dA or anything, please!

Advice for Artists on TumblrI'm a very regular Tumblr user and I always check if artists here have a Tumblr where they share their work.
So here's a list of advices that you might want to follow when you use Tumblr to share your art:
1. Make a blog exclusively for your work.
I don't care what you think: if you join tumblr you are going to find amazing things that you will want to reblog. So make a blog for your work and another one for your fandoms or inspirations (you can have all the blogs you want, maybe create the account with a blog for inspiration where you can follow others and then create the blog just for your art). It's a bit disappointing to follow an artist on tumblr and see everything except their work or having to go through a million posts before you find the exact thing you wanted to reblog.
2. Use the tags!
That's how Tumblr works. Make your art known, use the tags. But don't go crazy on them. The tags that are more important are the first 5 so use main descriptive tags like Port

I tried a different PP link and it worked just fine.
We probably have to relocate. As soon as I can get you to agree on that, we're also going to have to stop visiting the other one for a while, so it can fix itself. It seems like every time we check, PiratePad has to work even harder. This may not be the case, but no harm done in not going on an old one if there's a new one. We can agree on a new date to check it in the future.
So... Are all of you in favor of having a temporarty PP to use in place of our usual broken one?

Congrats!

I've always thought that although I can draw decently, I won't be truly successful until I can live off my work. I'm working on it, I've not been online a lot recently so I can focus on my art. I'm really trying to create my own style. Good luck, maybe I should try some of these SEO things.

Well that's just the thing, this isn't money I made from drawing, or putting any effort into anything really, unless posting images on Tumblr counts as effort. n_n (It does, kinda o_O I guess) The whole idea behind affiliate marketing is that it's passive income - as in, I don't have to work terribly hard to earn revenue. And January proved that it's working. <3

True, like one day though I hope to have such a body of work I can make decent money off of prints and merchandise with my designs on them.
I never actually knew that affiliate marketing worked... I guess I was always afraid it was a scam or only like making one cent lol. I guess I was wrong! That's pretty cool

There ARE a lot of scams that tell you stuff like "Get this exceptional training course for only $999 and YOU TOO CAN MAKE MONEY ONLINE" and those are bogus. Stick with stores you're familiar with and you know are reliable, like Amazon, and read some of their help guides and you are well on your way. X3

I'd love to make money from art work, too! Something I hope to implement on my site this year is downloadable content like wallpaper and other resources. * 3* From things like those, you can sell for small amounts, but they'll sell over and over and over again, instead of needing to draw complicated new art work every time you want to make some money. : D
